School board elections are coming up for the Moriarty-Edgewood, Estancia and Mountainair School Districts on Tuesday, February 3.  The Moriarty-Edgewood School District will also have a capital improvements mill levy on the ballot.  If authorized, voters would approve a continuation of an existing property tax for another six years of $2 per $1,000 of net taxable value.  For information on the elections, contact the Torrance County Clerk at 505-246-4735.

The Manzano Mountain Art Council seeks an arts coordinator:
The position is approximately 10 hours a week, and the person hired will work as an independent contractor.  Duties include maintaining the organization’s files,
coordination of publicity, managing the art center, coordination of projects and other tasks like fundraising.  The pay is $15 per hour. Those interested are invited to send contact information and a paragraph about why they want the job to by Feb. 2.
