On Saturday, November 16, from 10am-2pm learn how to reduce erosion and conserve water on your property. The Tijeras Creek Rehabilitation Project will be demonstrating techniques to keep water on your property such as how to construct an “A” frame, “boomerang” creation, layout, how to repair stone spillways and how to install sponges and apply mulch. The demonstration will be at a site between the Roosevelt and A. Montoya schools in Tijeras. The site can be accessed from the Public School Road on South 14 or from Route 66. Additionally, you can park at Los Vecinos Community Center and walk across the footbridge. Attendees are encouraged to be prepared for inclement weather, to wear good shoes and to bring a hat, gloves and water.
