On Monday, November 4, at 2pm at Lisa’s Truck Stop there will be a ceremony for the five murals created along Route 66 in Moriarty. Checks from the New Mexico MainStreet Program will be presented to the five muralists who painted these murals.
RV Sales in Moriarty will host the 20th Annual Trick-or-Treat Trailer-to-Trailer event on October 31st starting at 5:30 pm. Volunteers in costumes will pass out candy to trick-or-treaters.
Admission is $1 or a non-perishable food item, which will be donated to the Bethel Community Storehouse.

The 5th Annual World Blacksmith Championship will be held Friday, October 25 – Sunday, October 27, at the Wildlife West Nature Park in Edgewood. Over 40 blacksmiths from around the world will compete at this event. Visitors can watch the blacksmiths compete and also tour the Wildlife West Zoo, which has 25 species of native rescued wildlife. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $4 for children and kids under 5 are free. Proceeds from the event will help support native, rescued wildlife at the park.

Come join the fun at the annual Pinto Bean Fiesta in Moriarty on Saturday, October 12! Every year people from across the country and New Mexico gather in Moriarty to celebrate the new crop of pinto beans grown by farmers in the area. The celebration begins with a 7 a.m. pancake breakfast sponsored by the Lions Club, is followed by a 9 a.m. parade on Main Street (Old Route 66) and then adjourns for to the City Park (under the water tower) for more activities. There will be live entertainment, a car show, a horseshoe tournament, a bean and chili cook off, a glider display, activities for the kids, and a whole lot more.
