Dash Dirty in Edgewood


The Dirty Dash returns to Wildlife West in Edgewood on August 31st for a day of muddy fun! Celebrate Flowers and the Harvest This Weekend on the Salt Missions Trail


This weekend we’ll be celebrating flowers and harvest on both ends of the Salt Missions Trail Scenic Byway! On the southern leg oon Highway 60, the Mountainair Sunflower Festival will be in full swing on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with live entertainment, arts and crafts, a sunflower hat contest and sunflower art raffle, as well as live entertainment, children’s activities and food vendors. On the northern leg of the Byway in Edgewood, the Annual Harvest Festival returns to Wildlife West Nature Park on Saturday and Sunday, with a tractor parade on Saturday morning and tractor games on Sunday. Other activities include a wine tasting on Saturday, snake and reptile identification presentations, and behind the scenes tours of the black bear and Mexican wolf habitats. Lots to Do on the Salt Missions Trail Scenic Byway!


Come on out to the Salt Missions Trail Scenic Byway communities this weekend and find something to do for just about everyone!

In Estancia, the Torrance County Fair will be wrapping up a week-long set of activities with a parade, the Junior Livestock Show, and the Torrance County 4-H barbecue at the Fairgrounds. A Country and Western Dance will top off the festivities on Saturday night at the Estancia Community Center. For a calendar of events, click on the Torrance County Fair link at torrancecountynm.org.

In Edgewood, the Route 66 Run, Rally, Rock Celebration will kick off with a 10 a.m. Parade and end with fireworks in the evening.
